Eswatini TV launches Albinism Care Campaign

Eswatini TV launched a campaign aimed at raising awareness and combating prejudice surrounding people living with Albinism. The launch event was held at Limkokwing University on Friday, 11 July 2025.
In a heartfelt initiative to promote inclusivity and provide opportunities for marginalized communities, Limkokwing University announced the donation of ten full scholarships to individuals living with albinism. This generous gesture aims to empower students with albinism by removing financial barriers and encouraging their pursuit of higher education. Eswatini TV encouraged other companies and organizations to follow suit and support education and inclusion for people living with albinism.
As part of the proceedings of the launch, attendees watched a documentary series that explored the lives of individuals with albinism, showcased the diversity of experiences within the community and dispel myths surrounding the condition. The series also included medical professionals, counsellors, and advocates working with individuals with albinism. These interviews provided valuable information about the condition, its impact and available resources.
The campaign’s emphasis on education and empathy is intended to foster a more inclusive and supportive environment for individuals with albinism. The channel is committed to providing accurate information and promoting a positive image of the albinism community.
