Eswatini TV
The Eswatini Television Authority (ESTVA)
Eswatini TV (formerly Swazi TV) was officially opened by His Majesty King Sobhuza II in February 1978. In 1983, the Government of Eswatini established the television broadcaster into an authority (Eswatini Television Authority) through an Act of Parliament. This saw the transformation of the television station into a public broadcaster that pioneered the age of television and Swaziland Television Authority Rentals (STAR) in the Kingdom of Eswatini.
In the present day, ESTVA is a revolutionary Public Enterprise that uses visual media to spearhead the reflection of Eswatini to the world, and the world to Eswatini. The Authority reports to the Ministry of Information, Communication and Technology, which has the following objectives based on the 1983 Act:
ESTVA strives to uphold the above objectives and become an optimal broadcasting service provider that steers television regulation and innovation in Eswatini.
