What is a TV trading licence?

In accordance with the Swaziland Television Act, 1983 (Section 18), supported by Regulation (3) of the Television Viewers (Certificates and Licences) Regulations (Section 26), businesses dealing in television sets and related equipment are required to be registered.

Who should register?

Retail shops selling television sets
Electronics dealers and wholesalers
Importers and distributors of TV devices
Any business trading in equipment that attracts a TV licence

How to apply?

To obtain the TV trading licence, retailers are required to be registered with Eswatini TV as a vendor:

Download Vendor Registration Form
Complete the Vendor Registration form.
Submit Registration Form:

Scan the completed registration form.
Email the scanned form and other essential documents (see list below) to tvlicence@eswatinitv.co.sz.
ESTVA will assess if the registration meets all the required criteria and make an approval or decline.
ESTVA will communicate the registration outcome through an email.
If approved, proceed with payment of E25.00 for the registration and E300.00 for the annual TV trading license, as per the regulations.
ESTVA will issue the certificate after receiving the payment.
